The most classic finish. Glossy, smooth, easy to apply.

Rich, flat color. No gloss or shine whatsoever.

A matte-metallic finish with texture and and micro-glitter.

Big, easy-to-see sparkle flakes. Glitter polish is textural, for smoother, use a top coat.

The same amount of sparkle as Glitter, but smaller flakes. Best for layering over color.

For nails that twinkle. A base of color and tiny flakes of shimmer mixed into one bottle.

Also known as pearlescent. Icy-toned shine, visible brush strokes.

Tiny rainbow colored flakes in the polish. Best seen in sunlight.

This finish glistens like the inside of a sea shell.

Also called duochrome. Color changes between two or more hues depending on the angle of looking at it.

Shiny, metal-looking finish. Most popular in golds, silvers, and coppers.

A layering polish. Creates a shattered texture look when put on top of another color.

A smooth, almost mirror-like metallic shine.

What makes Julep Nail Color so great?
Our professional chip-resistant formulation is fast drying and highly pigmented. It is a fun way to make the season’s latest shades accessible to everyone. And because we’ve tested our trend-setting toxin-free nail polish and products in over 100,000 manicures and pedicures in our parlors, we have a good idea of what works and what our clients love.

Julep Nail Polish is “5-free” and does not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP, or camphor.

Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Yellow 10 Lake (CI 47005), Stearalkonium Bentonite, Acrylates Copolymer, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, Benzophenone-1, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate, Hexanal.

  1. Start with a base coat. This protects your nails from damage and staining, and creates a smooth base for your nail polish.

  2. Apply nail polish in thin layers, and give each coat time to dry before applying the next. This helps your color dry evenly and quickly.

  3. To extend the life of your manicure, start each layer by sealing your free edges. Lightly brush nail polish across the edge and under the tip of each nail.

  4. To make your nail polish pop, apply a layer of white polish between the base coat and color.

  5. Finish with a top coat to protect your nail polish against chips. Reapply every couple of days to keep your manicure looking fresh.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful color BUT I LOVE this color It dries beautifully and is very bright and truetocolor as it appears to the bottle with two coats That being said even though I did use a base coat CND Stickey Base this color did stain my nails Despite trying 100 acetone and buffing my nails they still have a yellow tinge over a week later Based on this I would highly recommend either doubling up on your base coat or applying a coat of white or some other neutral to protect your natural nails before applying this color

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stained, Stained and Still Stained I received this color in my October mystery box and was very excited to use it. I did apply a base coat and when applying polish I did notice that it was very thin and I ended up having to use 3 to 4 coats to get full coverage without streaks. Once on, I was very happy with the wonderful bright neon color. But when I took it off... sheer sadness. It is now January and half of my nails are still stained an ugly yellow as if I had smoked my whole life. I also noticed that once removed from my nails it seemed to eat up my nails while on. My nails were peeling and looked very unhealthy. I'm not sure what happened with this polish but I unfortunately will not be using it anymore unless it is on top of another color as an accent color.
