POLISH FINISHES

Crème

The most classic finish. Glossy, smooth, easy to apply.

Matte

Rich, flat color. No gloss or shine whatsoever.

Suede

A matte-metallic finish with texture and and micro-glitter.

Glitter

Big, easy-to-see sparkle flakes. Glitter polish is textural, for smoother, use a top coat.

Micro-glitter

The same amount of sparkle as Glitter, but smaller flakes. Best for layering over color.

Shimmer

For nails that twinkle. A base of color and tiny flakes of shimmer mixed into one bottle.

Frost

Also known as pearlescent. Icy-toned shine, visible brush strokes.

Holographic

Tiny rainbow colored flakes in the polish. Best seen in sunlight.

Opalescent

This finish glistens like the inside of a sea shell.

Molten

Also called duochrome. Color changes between two or more hues depending on the angle of looking at it.

Metallic

Shiny, metal-looking finish. Most popular in golds, silvers, and coppers.

Crackle

A layering polish. Creates a shattered texture look when put on top of another color.

Chrome

A smooth, almost mirror-like metallic shine.

  1. Start with a base coat. This protects your nails from damage and staining, and creates a smooth base for your nail polish.

  2. Apply nail polish in thin layers, and give each coat time to dry before applying the next. This helps your color dry evenly and quickly.

  3. To extend the life of your manicure, start each layer by sealing your free edges. Lightly brush nail polish across the edge and under the tip of each nail.

  4. To make your nail polish pop, apply a layer of white polish between the base coat and color.

  5. Finish with a top coat to protect your nail polish against chips. Reapply every couple of days to keep your manicure looking fresh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Favorite! I love neutral colors, and this one was a real surprise. It's a little lighter than it appears on screen- and changes in different lighting quite a bit. In my kitchen, it looks gray, but in sunlight it looks like a very light purple-pink. Goes on smooth and opaque!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not A Good Color On Me This isn't a cool a beige as it looks on the site (at least not on my screen). Unfortunately, it does not work on me at all. I can see someone with darker skin liking it, but on my very fair skin it just looked strange. Also, while I understand that lighter colors are tricky, this was extremely chalky going on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect gray! I have been searching forever for a gray that was light but still dark enough to be gray. You don't know how many different shades of gray I've gotten only to apply it and find out it is too dark or too purple. But finally I found it in Annette! It is the perfect shade and very neutral yet still eye catching. In the sun, it does sometimes look like a light purple, but that doesn't last once in a different lighting. I've gotten so many compliments on this. I am definitely buying more bottles to last me forever!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent light gray a lovely light gray with just the faintest hint of pink/purple. a great color to wear to the office that is still neutral and much softer than a bright white polish. one of my new favorites
