Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't live without! A must have! I started using this when Julep first came out with this, and ever since I have never found myself without a bottle (or two!) on hand. Works well at keeping my nails strong and is an an excellent base coat. The only complaint I would have is that it gets very thick at the end and doesn't dry quickly, but that is what Polish thinner is for!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great base coat This has become my go-to basecoat. Works well for me and keeps my color on longer, and does help with peeling. Don't confuse this with the Brighter Is Better treatment though...that one smells weirdly good but it's sticky and not really meant to be used as a base coat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute Opposite of desired effect I am normally very hesitant to spend money on make-up, but when I found this site I was so excited about all of the product descriptions and reviews, and, when I saw my first maven box, I was delighted. So I decided to treat myself, and I bought a bunch of nail products. I used this one, along with different colors and the "go the distance" top coat, or sometimes just the "brighter is better," and I was very disappointed that it seemed to do the exact opposite of what it claimed: the color chipped terribly after one day, and after using it over a period of time I noticed my nails actually seemed more flimsy and were peeling so much more than they had! I thought maybe it was just me so I gave my nail items to my mother, and a few weeks later she complained to me that her nails wouldn't stop peeling and breaking, as well!
