While the Met Gala is really an annual fundraiser to benefit one of NYC’s most beloved places, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, it’s become more of a fashion show for us to fawn over our favorite celebs adorned in the best styles of the season.

While most celebs go glitzy at the Grammys and class it up for the Oscars, they tend to bring on the haute couture at the Met Gala. Skirts are bigger, trains are longer, and the looks are the boldest of the season.

The hottest trend at this year’s Met Gala was the classic duo of Black and White.

Stars strutted in the timeless pairing, proving that a nothing can top these iconic shades of gray. From left to right: Hailee Steinfeld in Prabal Gurang,  Anna Kendrick in J. Mendel, SJP in Oscar de la Renta, and Charlize Theron in Dior, of course.

Our other favorites went from bold and bright to soft and subtle.

Emma Stone was pretty in pink in her Thakoon ensemble. We love pairing shades of pink together. Get her look on your next mani by wearing Maddy (Classic with a Twist) with a Maren (It Girl) accent nail. Your nails will be sure to steal the show.

Reese Witherspoon rocked pink like nobody’s business in her Stella McCartney gown, and her soft Old Hollywood glam waves complemented the plunging neckline perfectly. Try her hot pink style on your lips or nails for a pop of color for day or night with our bubblegum pink Adored lip gloss, or polished nails in Caitlin (Classic with a Twist) or Raegan (Bombshell).

Softer in tone but just as hot, lots of warm neutrals glided effortless across the red carpet.

Our favorites? Blake Lively in Gucci and Diane Kruger in Hugo Boss. These luminous beauties wow us with their soft and sheer bedazzled gowns—SO on trend this season! But their best accessories—beaus Ryan Reynolds and Joshua Jackson—both looking dashing themselves. What? A girl can look, right?

Finally, let’s talk beauty. Soft and shimmery eyes and bold, gorgeous lips took the red carpet by storm.

Nicole Richie and Karlie Kloss shined in their subtle yet sparkling eye looks. We love creating a similarly sheer eye look using our four buildable and blendable Eye Sheens.

Selena Gomez looked sultry and elegant beyond her young twenty-two years with her dark berry lip. Try our Julep Lip Gloss in Posh for this deep burgundy look.

Rachel McAdams went softer, but still made a statement with her sheer mauve shade and glossy lips. Try this look with our Charming shade of Julep Lip Gloss.
