After a long rainy spring season in France, the sun made a timely appearance at the Palace of Versailles to create the perfect luminescent lighting for Chanel’s Cruise 2013 fashion show. The models interweaving through the majestic landscape of Versailles created the perfect compliment to Chanel’s soft and delicate use of the beloved pastels. Along with the Cruise collection’s feminine lines and light-hearted designs was Chanel’s unmistakable inspiration from France’s most famous rebel: Marie Antoinette. From the beautiful 18th century inspired silhouettes found in Chanel’s blazers and waste lines to the clunky platform shoes worn by all the models, the essence of bad girl British youth culture was definitely present. Overall, Chanel’s Cruise 2013 at the picturesque Palace of Versailles was truly a spectacle for the books!
