April16_Maven_Blog_hero

Sun’s coming, Mavens. Even here in rainy Seattle we’re already in serious sunshine mode. We’ve sprung forward our mani-pedi palette in a major way and we’re really, really (really!) excited for you to see our newest BRIGHTS. Plus, we’ve got some fresh new ways for you to get the perfect glowing complexion that’s so on point right now.

brights + white

Our latest obsession? New Vivid Sheers. Can’t. Stop. PLAYING. One coat, and you get a juicy wash of color. One coat layered over white, amps the look totally. Multi-color crisscross, negative space, peekaboo white—we’ve loved every look so far.

That’s why we’re throwing in a FREE Brigitte (Classic with a Twist) bright white crème so you can try out different designs too! Get it with any Vivid Sheer; limit one per box.

#glowing

In case you missed it, luminous skin is kind of a big deal right now. Start with a radiant complexion and your makeup just works. Whether you’re going beachy boho or all-out glam, a cool-girl glow is what it’s all about.

So here’s the fix: New Love Your Bare Face Detoxifying Cleansing Stick. It blends natural oils to reach down and remove pesky impurities while gently exfoliating with pomegranate enzymes. For a double whammy of goodness, try it with our brand-new Kaolin Clay Konjac Sponge.

Drop a Line

We’re feelin’ the sunny vibe of our new Silver Linings holo nail tape. Stripe nails up a lot, or opt for a little. We went barely-there for the mani art shown here. So light and airy—can’t wait to wear it on our soon-to-be-tan tips and toes!

I would love to see some tutorials for the nail looks using the new vivid sheers. There are a lot of interesting paint jobs!

    • Kim at Julep

So glad you’re into these nail looks, mkchristner—we had a blast creating them! About the tutorials…not sure we have the bandwidth to make this happen. 🙁 We’ll keep you posted…

  • mimz

    tutorials please

    • Kim at Julep

We’ll try, Mimz…but not sure we have the bandwidth to make this happen. 🙁 We’ll keep you posted…

  • Cheryl

What is the difference between a vivid sheer and a jelly?

    • Karaine

I think the vivid sheers are a lot more amped up color wise…but it’s a good question Cheryl, and I guess we’ll find out… 😉

    • Kim at Julep

Hi Cheryl—thanks for the question! The jellies are more pigmented and don’t pop the same as the Vivid Sheers.

  • Nathalies_Talons

I would like to see a tutorial for the pink and white Coachella look above.

    • Kim at Julep

We’ll try, Nathalies…but not sure we have the bandwidth to make this happen.

  • Jamie Cannon

What is that yellow shade in the sample style pics? The one with all the small stripes going horizontally, for example – I see the two orange colors from the new collection, but yellow? Also on the one with white base + yellow diagonal + pink diagonal to make the triangle of red color on the tip.

    • Cheryl

I think the yellow is Gigi over the white nail polish…but I’m just guessing 🙂

      • Kim at Julep

Awesome eye! You’re exactly right, Cheryl. Thanks for solving the mystery!

    • Kim at Julep

Hi Jamie—the yellow stripe you’re seeing in the Power Lines nail look is Gigi—it’s layered over bright white. The orange stripe is also Gigi, but it’s not on white.

In the Fresh-Squeezed Geos nail look, Gigi and Ari overlap to create the red triangle. Hope that’s helpful…happy Friday! 🙂

  • Elizabeth

What are the ingredients in the cleansing stick? This girl’s got some allergies!

    • Kasey💖

I’m the same! If you’re allergic to citrus like me, you’re out of luck. But the full list of ingredients is on the product page in New Arrivals.

      • Elizabeth

Propylene glycol for me. I’ll go check it out. Thanks!

  • Candece

Will the free Bridgette polish show up even after you personalized your maven box? If it’s supposed to, then its not showing up in my confirmation email.

    • Nicole Nelson

I would also like to know the answer to this question!

      • Stephanie M

Mine didn’t either but it shows when the boxes ship, in your order history, I just noticed!

      • Kim at Julep

Hi Nicole! We’re including one free Brigitte (Classic with a Twist) with any beauty box order that contains a Vivid Sheer polish, even if you customized your box, add on, etc. It won’t show up on your confirmation email, but we made sure to get one into your order! Hope that’s helpful!

  • Lauren Procter

I have a hard time with the nail polish taking a long time to dry. I know that most of them mention that they are fast-drying. Am I applying too much? Are there tricks to drying faster? I have let my nails dry for over an hour and still can’t avoid messing them up no matter how careful I am…it’s like they aren’t solidifying. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    • Kim at Julep

Hey Lauren! Make sure the layers are applied evenly. Some polishes only need one coat. Also, we’re curious what your base coat is…
