  • Kristen Redmond

Loving my Classic with a Twist options! And I can’t wait to try the new base/top coats and Katerina! 🙂

    • You are going to love them all!

  • Shelli Lorang

Loving all these gorgeous color choices the last two months!! Keep those awesome colors and great new products coming our way. Great job Julep!!!! 🙂

    • Thanks Shelli! What color are you loving the most this month? Did you customize?

      • Shelli Lorang

I’m really loving Sera, Phia & Katerina the most this month, although I’d get them all if I could afford it. 🙂 I did switch to the My Maven customization but I decided to stick with the Oxygen Smoothing Top Coat that was already in the Bombshell box this month. I really like the options of switching out the items you don’t want & switching in what you do want instead of being stuck with whatever is offered. This is the very first time that I’ve added on all 3 add-ons–I usually only add on one, if any & I use my Jules to cover the cost of the add-ons. I just wish that if we switched to the customization boxes that we’d still be able to get our add-ons for $4.99 instead of $6.99 each and that the cost of buying them with our Jules had stayed the same as before also.

  • Annalea Rodriguez

I had been getting the Classic with a Twist box (I didn’t know about the Julep window last month or I would’ve chosen a different box TBH but oh well), but I think I’m going with It Girl this month. I have to have Natalia as an add-on, though. That color is too gorgeous. Wish I could swap Savoy for Harlow. Savoy looks kinda streaky. Maybe I should go with Boho Glam and get Jennine as an add-on. This is tough. LOL

    • Hi Annalea, Did you know that if you upgrade to My Maven you can customize your box and swap out Savoy for Harlow? Give it a try!

    • Natasha Erickson

If you upgrade to My Maven and do 3 months at a time payment it stays the same price as you pay right now, just 3 months at a time. Its worth it to customize.

      • Susan Forest-Rode

I’m starting to think so, too. But maybe go with the Luxe since I’ve already spent $80 this month. Do you know if you can still skip when you switch if you’ve been a Maven for awhile?

        • Natasha Erickson

They have said your skipping options do not change

          • Susan Forest-Rode

            Thanks.

  • Sera Hall

i have been waiting for this collection to drop since November. Sera is named after….me! and i like the bombshell combo. and Harlow was also suggested by me. How can you have a bombshell category while no polish has been named after the original blonde bombshell. Jean Harlow even starred in a film called “bombshell’ (a must see favorite of mine). But I am such a sucker for this whole collection. it is like mermaids and pixies and fireflies.

    • Susan Forest-Rode

Love this color. It is so beautiful – just like you.

  • Kimberly

Hey Julep, is Harlow a green-gold or gold-gold?

    • Hi Kimberly, Harlow is more of a green-gold. Are you getting her this month?!

      • Kimberly

Yes I am now 🙂 along with Bergen (so, so beautiful!) and either Sera or Natalia. Decisions to be made! Thanks for the info.

  • Amanda Loibl

I’ve never used the stardust finish. Can someone describe that to me? It looks textured, like similar to OPI’s liquid sand polish. Is that how it actually feels?

    • yes, its very similar to the liquid sand!

    • Katherine V

It feels textured and a top coat didn’t change that for me. I love how easy they are to touch up. No smudges, either!

    • Natasha Erickson

Its a thick, rough polish. Gorgeous!!! It applies in one coat and dries very fast. Lasts quite a long time too. I love Cameron and I ordered Glam Roc. I have emailed Julep before asking when more would be coming out so the second I saw Jennine I jumped on it. That was the reason why I ended up changing to My Maven lol. I had it as an add on, but wasn’t getting all the add one I wanted. So I took the plunge and went with it and Arianna. No complaints here about switching 3 months at a time, but the same price as before, fine by me.

      • Susan Forest-Rode

Do you use a base coat and top coat? Are they similar to Pixie Dust from Zoya? Thanks.

        • Natasha Erickson

I don’t use a base or a top with that one Its my quick go to polish.

      • Susan Forest-Rode

With the My Maven how many add-ons can you do? I always want more than 3 and I think that would save money in the long run.

  • Stephsteph1320

I think julep has hit it out of the park with this collection! More shimmers, chromes and stardusts in gorgeous shades. I can’t wait to get my box. There was no question about upgrading to the polish lover’s this time! Now if only my golden ticket boxes would arrive…

  • Katherine V

I customized to get Natalia and Jennine. I love the stardust finishes! And I couldn’t resist adding on Tracy.

    • Susan Forest-Rode

DO YOU use a base coat and top coat with the stardust finishes? Are they like Pixie Dust from Zoya?

  • Marcella

Such a great collection for summer! Fun colors, chromes and shimmers and a pretty topcoat. Yay! And I’m just loving the customization. For the last several months, it’s been either skips or one polish I love and one that’s either “meh” or “never gonna wear that”. I customized the box this morning and I’m excited about every single thing in it. Now I can’t wait for it to get here. Thanks, Julep!

  • Susan Forest-Rode

I want to upgrade and I cannot. (Says it is sold out) Yet I can add-on the entire collection. That doesn’t make any sense to me. Why is it if you upgrade to the Ultimate it is +55 but if you add it on it’s $75? That also doesn’t make sense. Then I’d be getting 3 duplicates as well as paying $20 more. Come ON!

    • Ftloosenfanzfree

You’re not noticing the “+” in front of that 55. The ultimate upgrade is the $20 that a box costs, PLUS an additional $55 for a total of $75. So the ultimate upgrade add-on is the same price.

      • Susan Forest-Rode

I don’t think so. I have to order a box which is $19.99. If I upgrade to the ultimate I then ADD $55 for a total of $75.00. If I want to get the add on INSTEAD I still have to order a box for $19.99. Then the ADD ON is $75 (WISH I could bold that) so now I am PAYING a TOTAL of $95.00. Can you add? I cannot get an Add on unless I buy a BOX.

        • Ftloosenfanzfree

Yes, I can add, obviously, as I just did. I misunderstood your complaint. Now I see that the real problem is just that your complaint is stupid. Yes, your total would be $95 if you choose to do that. Because you are getting MORE than if you only ordered the Ultimate Upgrade for $75. You think they should just give you more stuff without you having to pay extra for it? Because that is absurd.

          • Susan Forest-Rode

No, what was absurd was that I couldn’t choose the upgrade because it was sold out but they still had the set in the add ons. Again, I would not want to buy a box and then add-on the entire collection because then I’d be getting duplicates of some of the polishes. My complaint was that if they had it available in the add-ons why was it sold out as an upgrade? That’s what didn’t make sense to me. I’m not saying you shouldn’t have to pay the money for the products. But I understand why Julep does it that way. It’s marketing, a way to make money. So now I go on the very first day and make my picks so I don’t miss getting what I want.

  • I really wish I had an opportunity to play around with both My Maven and Maven Luxe so I could determine what the best choice is for me. I love this collection, but I don’t want each color, and I would be interested in customizing an upgrade box, but that’s not allowed! So I’d like to see what combinations I could get with Maven Luxe but I can’t! (pout).

  • Becs

These colors look beautiful, but I think it is ridiculous that after saying you can keep the non-customizable box, you increased the price of add on polishes in the current months selection from $4.99 to $6.99. It seems like a deceitful ploy to force people into customizing their boxes. (Although I’ve heard that people who switched to the customizable box also have a price increase for add ons, so I’m happy I haven’t upgraded to my Maven.)
I would love to get a response from you Julep. A lot of people on Facebook have been talking about this too and are clearly unhappy. The least you could do is respond to somebody’s post.

  • Natasha Erickson

Am I just not seeing it? Where is the June birthstone polish

  • K.

Oh my gosh why is that green-gold so pretty? I cant wait to put it on my fingers!

  • Brooke

That looks like Lillibets Jubilee by butter LONDON. Do you guys all make the same colors?

  • Lisa Nievaard Chapman

Love Sera’s story- and love her color. And in honor of her and the selfless way she is dealing with her own challenges, I will be purchasing it! Thanks, Julep- it is inspiring to see a lovely response to her letter- honoring her with her own color! Very cool of you!

    • Sera Hall

Lisa, that was a very sweet review. I do not fiscally benefit from your purchase, but I do believe everyone should have a little “Sera” in their lives!

  • Sera Hall

Thanks to the Julep goddesses who created this “Sera” shade from a very vague notion of “my ideal color”. It is more beautiful and flattering than I thought was possible.
Thanks also for listening to one Maven’s suggestion about her silver screen hero, Jean Harlow, becoming a Julep shade and then making such gorgeous shade as ‘Harlow’!
Thanks especially to the patient and wonderful Miss Emily R for her glowing blog post and fielding nearly a year of very specific and equally long emails. I am honored to join the Julep pantheon, especially with ” Harlow “, for paying tribute to beautiful, much missed and a truly remarkable woman, Donna.
So in parting, thank you again Julep, for making one of my wishes come true!

    Sera

    • It’s been a pleasure getting to know you, Sera!

      • Sera Hall

It been nice to have so much positive interest in me, which has all co e from you, miss Emily. Thanks for a heap of positivity. That out float me over any obstacles I will face in future! You should be very proud of all your hard work, most of all reading my epic sagas. I am proud of you. Thanks again

  • Sera Hall

I just had to get a suggestion for “Harlow” while I had the chance! You just cannot, in my opinion, have a ‘bombshell’ category without having a shade for the original Bombshell , Jean Harlow. Checkout the film “Bombshell” 1933. It was so close to bio pic there was talk of recasting. MGM, wisely, went forward with Harlow in the lead with Victor Fleming (The Wizard of Oz & Gone With the Wind) directing.
It is worthwhile watching, you pop a coat “Harlow” on your toes accented with a light coat of “Sera” on your finger tips!

    • Susan Forest-Rode

Years ago when I was a little girl my parents took all of us to the drive-in (yes, I’m that old) and there was a movie that I think was a bio of Jean Harlow. Not sure. I don’t know if it was all that accurate and I only remember parts of it. Do you happen to know what movie that would have been? It was probably made in the sixties. You being a Harlow fan and all I thought you might know.

    • Susan Forest-Rode

Can you send me the answer via FB? If possible. Thanks.

  • Sera Hall
