Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good. I really wanted to love it. In fact, despite the fact that the color is not like the picture, I still love the color, but there are so many things wrong with this polish: 1. it doesn't go on smoothly 2. it takes at least 3 coats to coat well 3. the finish is satin, which is fine if you don't want it to stay satin (top coat negates this) 4. this stuff peels, not just chips, but peels in the first 24 hours. I've even tried different base coast and top coats, but it doesn't matter. Julep makes great polish, and I sing their praises all the time, but this one is a DUD. Don't buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgg Ive had Denise for about 2 years now and just came across it in my collection.. soo glad i did! After reading all of the bad reviews I decided to use it to see for myself.. Its a tad streaky but after the 2nd coat streaks are non existent! Im obsessed ♡

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good color if you have a steady hand Purple is my college color, so I was all over this polish when it debuted! Unfortunately, the formula when I received it and since has been too runny to be truly successful for me. One coat is streaky and uneven; two evens things out IF you have a steady hand and can be strategic, and three is just way too much. My biggest complaint is that my dominant and non-dominant hand usually end up looking slightly different shades since I am obviously more skilled with my dominant hand painting. It's a fun summer time color but I usually save it for my toes since I know the payoff is not as great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty! Love this color! Though it went on a little thinner and wasn't quite as vibrant as I was expecting. It takes two, maybe three coats. The attached photo was after a week and a half without a topcoat, so it holds up like most Julep polishes do for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great color, but slightly running texture Really like this color. It's different than pictured above, as the other reviewers have said, it's more of a blueish purple (which in my opinion makes it closer to a crocus color as described). The formula was a little runny compared to what I'm used to, and this is my first Julep polish, so I don't know if this is just the way Julep polishes are and I'll get used to it, or if it's something with this particular line. It took three coats for me to get complete coverage, but I think that was mostly because I was having some trouble with the consistency (I also ended up with polish all over my cuticles, as you can see from the pictures, haha). The polish dried to a pretty matte finish, which I really enjoyed (unlike some of the other commenters). I didn't immediately put on a top coat because I liked the natural finish so much, but it ended up chipping on my second day of wear (I'm pretty hard on my nails), so I did some touch-ups today and put on a shiny top coat. I attached before- and after-clear-coat pictures in natural lighting, and one after the top coat in artificial light (which brings out more of the red tones in the polish).
