POLISH FINISHES

Crème

The most classic finish. Glossy, smooth, easy to apply.

Matte

Rich, flat color. No gloss or shine whatsoever.

Suede

A matte-metallic finish with texture and and micro-glitter.

Glitter

Big, easy-to-see sparkle flakes. Glitter polish is textural, for smoother, use a top coat.

Micro-glitter

The same amount of sparkle as Glitter, but smaller flakes. Best for layering over color.

Shimmer

For nails that twinkle. A base of color and tiny flakes of shimmer mixed into one bottle.

Frost

Also known as pearlescent. Icy-toned shine, visible brush strokes.

Holographic

Tiny rainbow colored flakes in the polish. Best seen in sunlight.

Opalescent

This finish glistens like the inside of a sea shell.

Molten

Also called duochrome. Color changes between two or more hues depending on the angle of looking at it.

Metallic

Shiny, metal-looking finish. Most popular in golds, silvers, and coppers.

Crackle

A layering polish. Creates a shattered texture look when put on top of another color.

Chrome

A smooth, almost mirror-like metallic shine.

What makes Julep Nail Color so great?
Our professional chip-resistant formulation is fast drying and highly pigmented. It is a fun way to make the season’s latest shades accessible to everyone. And because we’ve tested our trend-setting toxin-free nail polish and products in over 100,000 manicures and pedicures in our parlors, we have a good idea of what works and what our clients love.

Julep nail polish is 5-free and vegan-friendly. We steer clear of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP, camphor, and animal ingredients or byproducts.

Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Red 6 Lake (CI 15850), Benzophenone-3, Aluminum Powder (CI 77000).

  1. Start with a base coat. This protects your nails from damage and staining, and creates a smooth base for your nail polish.

  2. Apply nail polish in thin layers, and give each coat time to dry before applying the next. This helps your color dry evenly and quickly.

  3. To extend the life of your manicure, start each layer by sealing your free edges. Lightly brush nail polish across the edge and under the tip of each nail.

  4. To make your nail polish pop, apply a layer of white polish between the base coat and color.

  5. Finish with a top coat to protect your nail polish against chips. Reapply every couple of days to keep your manicure looking fresh.

We love it with...

Ginger - Bombshell is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful This polish dries to a soft matte finish, and its very pretty if left as is. But add topcoat and it instantly transforms into this beautiful, sexy, mufti-dimensional sandy taupe polish. The shine just makes this holographic polish pop! And yet it is still subtle enough, still very wearable for everyday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!! I love the color and easy it is to apply it. Would be nice to see it in a cayenne color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from two in one! this is a beautiful polish.  left alone to dry without topcoat it is matte and a subtle sandy color.  add the freedom coat and it is a flashy gorgeous sparkly nude.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Alright I tried my friend's ginger polish today and I found one coat wasn't the coverage I wanted but subsequent coats seemed to pull the bottom coat off. Maybe I needed to let it dry completely. It was a bit better when I just put it on thickly. I find it is more holographic in low light. I am starting to like the matte finish but I was hoping for an ultra reflective high gloss. I think I would love this more if I had gone in with no expectations.
