The most classic finish. Glossy, smooth, easy to apply.

Rich, flat color. No gloss or shine whatsoever.

A matte-metallic finish with texture and and micro-glitter.

Big, easy-to-see sparkle flakes. Glitter polish is textural, for smoother, use a top coat.

The same amount of sparkle as Glitter, but smaller flakes. Best for layering over color.

For nails that twinkle. A base of color and tiny flakes of shimmer mixed into one bottle.

Also known as pearlescent. Icy-toned shine, visible brush strokes.

Tiny rainbow colored flakes in the polish. Best seen in sunlight.

This finish glistens like the inside of a sea shell.

Also called duochrome. Color changes between two or more hues depending on the angle of looking at it.

Shiny, metal-looking finish. Most popular in golds, silvers, and coppers.

A layering polish. Creates a shattered texture look when put on top of another color.

A smooth, almost mirror-like metallic shine.

What makes Julep Nail Color so great?
Our professional chip-resistant formulation is fast drying and highly pigmented. It is a fun way to make the season’s latest shades accessible to everyone. And because we’ve tested our trend-setting toxin-free nail polish and products in over 100,000 manicures and pedicures in our parlors, we have a good idea of what works and what our clients love.

Julep nail polish is 5-free and vegan-friendly. We steer clear of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP, camphor, and animal ingredients or byproducts.

Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, BIS (Glycideoxyphenyl) Propane/Bisaminomethylnorbornane Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Acrylates Copolymer, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Benzophenone-1, Silica, Aluminum Hydroxide, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate, Red 28 (CI 45410), Red 22 (CI 45380), Hexanal.

  1. Start with a base coat. This protects your nails from damage and staining, and creates a smooth base for your nail polish.

  2. Apply nail polish in thin layers, and give each coat time to dry before applying the next. This helps your color dry evenly and quickly.

  3. To extend the life of your manicure, start each layer by sealing your free edges. Lightly brush nail polish across the edge and under the tip of each nail.

  4. To make your nail polish pop, apply a layer of white polish between the base coat and color.

  5. Finish with a top coat to protect your nail polish against chips. Reapply every couple of days to keep your manicure looking fresh.

We love it with...

Avery - Classic with a Twist is rated 4.5556 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gorgeous color I love the color, fun and bright without being too neon, but it is thick. And yet it doesn't cover thoroughly enough to work with only one coat. And as others have said, it dries with a weird matte finish rather than glossy. It's a weird cloudy-looking dull sheen so I recommend adding a layer of top coat or glitter to spiff up the shine. I paired it with Paris glitter and they look fabulous together!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHAT MORE CAN I SAY THAN, "I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!" I wore Avery for the first time yesterday. I got so many compliments on it. I love the shade, and Julep polishes in general wear the best of any brand I've ever used. I only need to do a touch-up about once a week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best Julep formula I've come across Avery, Jackie, Leah, Bethany, Bess...they are my favourites from my rather large collection because of their PERFECT formula. So easy to work with, I've even bought a back up of avery-- it's my favourite julep nail polish of all time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Old and Watery with little to No Coverage I've been very happy with most of my colors, but this one is the exception.  Read about watery polish on some other review sites and didn't believe it. Until it happened to me. This polish, dated 2012, is very watery. Even after 3 coats you can still see the nail.  Although the color is pretty, the finish is very dull. Had to use a top coat for the first time.  Overall, pretty disappointed in this one guys. Gonna have to monitor the Quality Control a bit better before your reputation is ruined.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect color/Versatility I got so many compliments on this polish. I love how subtley bright it is and I think I'll be able to use it with many other colors and glitters, which I look forward to.
