The most classic finish. Glossy, smooth, easy to apply.

Rich, flat color. No gloss or shine whatsoever.

A matte-metallic finish with texture and and micro-glitter.

Big, easy-to-see sparkle flakes. Glitter polish is textural, for smoother, use a top coat.

The same amount of sparkle as Glitter, but smaller flakes. Best for layering over color.

For nails that twinkle. A base of color and tiny flakes of shimmer mixed into one bottle.

Also known as pearlescent. Icy-toned shine, visible brush strokes.

Tiny rainbow colored flakes in the polish. Best seen in sunlight.

This finish glistens like the inside of a sea shell.

Also called duochrome. Color changes between two or more hues depending on the angle of looking at it.

Shiny, metal-looking finish. Most popular in golds, silvers, and coppers.

A layering polish. Creates a shattered texture look when put on top of another color.

A smooth, almost mirror-like metallic shine.

  1. Start with a base coat. This protects your nails from damage and staining, and creates a smooth base for your nail polish.

  2. Apply nail polish in thin layers, and give each coat time to dry before applying the next. This helps your color dry evenly and quickly.

  3. To extend the life of your manicure, start each layer by sealing your free edges. Lightly brush nail polish across the edge and under the tip of each nail.

  4. To make your nail polish pop, apply a layer of white polish between the base coat and color.

  5. Finish with a top coat to protect your nail polish against chips. Reapply every couple of days to keep your manicure looking fresh.

Marion - It Girl is rated 3.2727 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Peacock Blue I've been searching for a good blue color that wasn't too dark for a while now and finally found Marion.  This color is a gorgeous peacock blue with a cream finish that gives full coverage in one coat.  The silver shimmer isn't as obvious as it is in the picture, but it's still one of the prettiest colors I've ever come across.  It also lasts quite a while.   I know this color is soon to be discontinued, but I do hope they bring it back from time to time.  A retired items sale could be a good idea for those of us with retired favorites (just a thought, Julep).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice colour, but stains like there's no tomorrow I got this as part of the Boho Glam starter pack. Until yesterday, I was perfectly pleased with the product. It is a very rich colour with a hint of glimmer. The big problem with Marion is that it stains severely. I've never seen staining like this before. All of the skin around my nails is blue, and the finger I used to remove it is extremely blue. I'm kind of torn, because the colour is nice and I want to use it again, but removing it is such a nightmare.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful color and finish It was love at first sight, when I first applied this color. I usually try to avoid shimmery nail colors, but these shimmers give the nail a more shiny look, and not a glittery one. The only disadvantage is the staining aspect. I applied the color two days ago, and my cuticle area is still slightly bluish. I will say, that this product came in my Boho Glam Maven Box along with nail moisture masks. I applied the masks after I removed the fingernail polish and it helped to reduce the appearance of the stain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Staining - Not A Joke! Let me start off by saying I'm not normally the type of person to take the time to write a review. Like you are doing now, I read all the reviews for Marion and noticed the complaints of it staining. But I thought to myself, "Oh they're probably exaggerating - it can't be THAT bad". Well ladies, it's pretty bad. But don't let that stop you from buying this color. I still love it despite the staining! In my opinion, it's worth the hassle.
