  • How do I become a Julep Maven?

    Take the Maven Style Quiz, find your Style Profile, and choose your Welcome Box and subscription type

  • What comes in each monthly box?

    After your Welcome Box, the contents of your monthly Maven Box depend on the program you signed up for.

    Each My Maven Box includes over $40 worth of new beauty innovations and/or limited-run nail colors. We create at least five new boxes every month—one for each Style Profile, plus monthly exclusives. If you have a fully customizable subscription, you can personalize your box by picking exactly what you want.

    Note: If you do not have a customizable subscription (i.e. if you signed up for the program before 4/29/14 and have not switched tiers), you'll still have the option to preview all boxes and try a new Style Profile.

    Each Maven Luxe Box includes over $60 worth of beauty products. We create one Maven Luxe Box per month, and all Maven Luxe subscribers have the option to customize.

    All My Maven and Maven Luxe subscribers have the option to upgrade and/or add on to their boxes every month.

  • When and how do I preview each monthly collection?

    The monthly Maven Reveal takes place from the 20th-24th of each month. We’ll always start you off with our picks for you (for Mavens, this will be your default Style Profile; Maven Luxes will all start with the same curated box.) During the Reveal, you can log into your account and make changes. Or just leave it up to us to send you your next beauty fave.

  • Can I order items from previous months?

    Yes, products featured in monthly Maven Boxes will be offered on julep.com. Quantities are limited, so act fast if something special catches your eye!

  • Can I send my box to someone else?

    Yes. Every Maven Box comes beautifully packaged and ready to gift. If you’d like to send your box to someone else, log into My Account on julep.com during the Monthly Maven Reveal (20th-24th of every month) and select Send to a Friend.

  • What are style profiles and how do I change mine?

    We curate five new boxes every month, each one featuring colors and/or products tailored to a certain Style Profile. You can take your default style, try a new style, or customize your box as much as you'd like. By having a default style profile, even if you don't preview your box, we can surprise you with something that's just your style.

Subscription

  • What are my subscription options?

    For new Mavens, we have two subscription tiers: My Maven and Maven Luxe.

    With My Maven, you’ll get $40+ worth of polish & product for $24.99/month, or $19.99/month with a three-month prepaid subscription. Each monthly box is completely customizable.

    With Maven Luxe, you’ll get $60+ worth of prestige products for $39.99/month, or $34.99/month with a three-month prepaid subscription. Each monthly box is completely customizable.

    All Maven subscriptions include the option to "send to a friend" or cancel at any time. When your trial period ends (after you purchase your first monthly box), you’ll also have the option to “pass” on your box. Just select “I’m out this month” during the monthly Maven Reveal and we will not bill you or ship that month’s box.

  • How do I switch subscription tiers?

    If you’d like to switch from My Maven to Maven Luxe, or if you became a Maven before 4/29/14 and want to switch to a customizable subscription, you can do so online during the Monthly Maven Reveal (20th-24th of every month), or by contacting our Julep Beauty Advisors during the rest of the month.

    If you have a prepaid subscription and would like to switch to Maven Luxe, you’ll have the option to do so once your current billing cycle ends.

  • Can I switch to a non-customizable subscription tier?

    If you currently have a non-customizable Maven subscription, you are welcome to keep it; however, once you switch to a customizable Maven subscription, you cannot switch back. (Don’t worry—you won’t want to!)

  • Do you have a referral program?

  • What’s the Secret Store?

    The Secret Store opens around the 1st of every month, offering exclusive, limited-time deals for Mavens. It's just another perk of being a Maven.

  • What is “I’m out this month”?

    Once your trial period ends (after you’ve paid for your first monthly box), you’ll have the option to “pass” on your monthly box. If you log in to your account during the Monthly Maven Reveal (20th-24th of every month) and select "I'm out this month," you won’t receive or be billed for that month’s box. You can also feel free to call us at 877-651-3292. (Don’t forget—you can also "send to a friend" and share the gift of Julep beauty innovation.)

  • Why don't I see "I'm out this month" as an option?

    You will not see this option during your trial period, which ends when you pay for your first monthly box. Once you pay for your first monthly box, this option will automatically appear. No action is required from you.

  • How do I cancel my subscription?

    We're so sad to see you go! To cancel, please call our Julep Beauty Advisors at 877-651-3292. You must cancel by midnight of the 24th in order to not be billed for this month’s maven box. But remember, once your Maven trial period ends, you’ll always have the option to select "I'm out this month". (HOT TIP: Before you go, be sure to log into your account to check out your Jules balance, since Jules can only be redeemed by active Mavens.)

  • How do I reactivate my subscription?

    Simply email reactivate@julep.com and we will be happy to process your request.

Billing

  • How do I update my credit card information on file?

    Just log in to My Account and complete the Update Billing Info form.

  • What forms of payment can I use for my monthly Maven box?

    We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express . Unfortunately, we are unable to accept checks and money orders.

  • What if I have purchased a prepaid subscription?

    Your subscription will be automatically renewed for the same length of time.

  • What is the monthly cost for being a Maven?

  • When will my credit card be charged?

    Your card will charged when you order your Welcome Box. If you sign up before the 19th of the month, you will be charged again on the 27th for the next month's box. If you sign up on or after the 19th of the month, you will be charged again on the 27th of the following month.

  • Does Julep charge sales tax?

    Orders shipped to the state of Washington, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio will be charged sales tax.

Shipping

  • Can I track my order?

    You'll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your box has shipped. Please note: if your box is being shipped to Canada, you won't be able to track your package once it leaves the U.S.

  • How much does shipping cost?

    Sitewide shipping is always free for Mavens.

  • When can I expect my Maven Box to arrive?

    When you first become a Maven, we'll send out your Welcome Box as soon as your account is processed. Monthly Maven Boxes start shipping on the 27th of each month. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for your box to arrive. Please note: if your shipping address is outside of the continental United States, your box may take longer to arrive.

  • Where does Julep ship?

    We currently ship to the United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, and Canada. We hope to be expanding soon!

Returns

  • What is your return policy?

    We are not able to accept returns on monthly Maven Boxes. Please make sure you log in during the Monthly Maven Reveal to ensure you get the box you want.

    If you receive the wrong order or a defective item, please contact our Julep Beauty Advisors (877-651-3292 or maven@julep.com) and they’ll make it right.
