POLISH FINISHES

Crème

The most classic finish. Glossy, smooth, easy to apply.

Matte

Rich, flat color. No gloss or shine whatsoever.

Suede

A matte-metallic finish with texture and and micro-glitter.

Glitter

Big, easy-to-see sparkle flakes. Glitter polish is textural, for smoother, use a top coat.

Micro-glitter

The same amount of sparkle as Glitter, but smaller flakes. Best for layering over color.

Shimmer

For nails that twinkle. A base of color and tiny flakes of shimmer mixed into one bottle.

Frost

Also known as pearlescent. Icy-toned shine, visible brush strokes.

Holographic

Tiny rainbow colored flakes in the polish. Best seen in sunlight.

Opalescent

This finish glistens like the inside of a sea shell.

Molten

Also called duochrome. Color changes between two or more hues depending on the angle of looking at it.

Metallic

Shiny, metal-looking finish. Most popular in golds, silvers, and coppers.

Crackle

A layering polish. Creates a shattered texture look when put on top of another color.

Chrome

A smooth, almost mirror-like metallic shine.

What it is:
Breakthrough Oxygen Technology powers this fast-drying, long-lasting nail polish to get nails healthy and more beautiful at the same time. Our proprietary 5-free, vegan-friendly formula also includes strengthening Hexanal and antioxidant green coffee extract. You'll never look at nail polish the same way again.

What it does:
  • Dries ultra fast & allows 30% more oxygen to permeate the nail bed than other nail polish
  • Reveals stronger, harder & more conditioned nails in just two weeks (reported by 95% of women in an independent trial)
  • Extends the life of your manicure or pedicure
  • Julep nail polish is 5-free and vegan-friendly. We steer clear of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP, camphor, and animal ingredients or byproducts.

Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Acrylates Copolymer, Red 34 Lake (CI 15880), Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Silica, Benzophenone-1, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate, Black 2 (Cl 77266), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850) , Hexanal, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Coffea Robusta Seed Extract.

    1. Start with a base coat. This protects your nails from damage and staining, and creates a smooth base for your nail polish.

    2. Apply nail polish in thin layers, and give each coat time to dry before applying the next. This helps your color dry evenly and quickly.

    3. To extend the life of your manicure, start each layer by sealing your free edges. Lightly brush nail polish across the edge and under the tip of each nail.

    4. To make your nail polish pop, apply a layer of white polish between the base coat and color.

    5. Finish with a top coat to protect your nail polish against chips. Reapply every couple of days to keep your manicure looking fresh.

    We love it with...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous I am absolutely loving this shade.  Definitely one of my favorites so far.  It is definitely darker than the photos, but the color is gorgeous.  It makes me think of a very dark red wine.  Definitely a must have for a dark berry red for your collection.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Want to love it... I really want to love this one. The color is beautiful, but coverage isn't good - uneven - and it's way too thick. I ended up with a mess trying to put it on. May by some polish thinner and try again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Color! I absolutely love this polish! Deep red wine that's just yummy to look at. I love dark nail polishes and this one is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black cherry beauty Nic is a deep, vampy shade that has an air of elegant confidence about it. It is the color of black cherries – so dark a red that it appears nearly black to the eye. It reminds me a bit of merlots, especially while wet. It went on beautifully with two coats. Three might be an option if you miss a spot or two, didn't get close enough to your cuticle, et cetera, but two was perfect for my purposes. I accidentally applied too much polish when a blob dripped off of the wand, leaving a lumpy texture. Oops! Upon removing the polish and repainting my right thumb, I noticed that I was much better at getting the color even the second time around. It is a very level and deep shade when two coats are evenly applied. Just have patience, remember to shake the bottle a LOT before applying, and be ready to paint over the thinner parts of the distributed color when painting your second coat. I loved wearing it. Despite being very hands-on last week, it was everlasting and faithful in its resistance to chipping. I am very impressed with its durability. Though it is nearly black, there was not one stain on my nails when I removed it today. I heart Nic!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Darker and thinner than expected While some reviews say this formula is too thick, mine seemed to be too thin. I received Nic in Reindeer Games so maybe they worked on the formula? I needed 3 coats to get the color even and full. Then after applying, it's much darker than pictured. It's more of a red-black on my nails. I'll still wear it multiple times, was just a bit disappointed in the end result.
