POLISH FINISHES

Crème

The most classic finish. Glossy, smooth, easy to apply.

Matte

Rich, flat color. No gloss or shine whatsoever.

Suede

A matte-metallic finish with texture and and micro-glitter.

Glitter

Big, easy-to-see sparkle flakes. Glitter polish is textural, for smoother, use a top coat.

Micro-glitter

The same amount of sparkle as Glitter, but smaller flakes. Best for layering over color.

Shimmer

For nails that twinkle. A base of color and tiny flakes of shimmer mixed into one bottle.

Frost

Also known as pearlescent. Icy-toned shine, visible brush strokes.

Holographic

Tiny rainbow colored flakes in the polish. Best seen in sunlight.

Opalescent

This finish glistens like the inside of a sea shell.

Molten

Also called duochrome. Color changes between two or more hues depending on the angle of looking at it.

Metallic

Shiny, metal-looking finish. Most popular in golds, silvers, and coppers.

Crackle

A layering polish. Creates a shattered texture look when put on top of another color.

Chrome

A smooth, almost mirror-like metallic shine.

  1. Start with a base coat. This protects your nails from damage and staining, and creates a smooth base for your nail polish.

  2. Apply nail polish in thin layers, and give each coat time to dry before applying the next. This helps your color dry evenly and quickly.

  3. To extend the life of your manicure, start each layer by sealing your free edges. Lightly brush nail polish across the edge and under the tip of each nail.

  4. To make your nail polish pop, apply a layer of white polish between the base coat and color.

  5. Finish with a top coat to protect your nail polish against chips. Reapply every couple of days to keep your manicure looking fresh.

See it in action...

We love it with...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not pink at all! This came in the bombshell starter box, and I was excited for pink. I put this on, and it was Orange! I made pumpkins out of the color... So not happy with it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Chipped Really Easily :( I got this polish with my starter box and I love the color. However, the product chipped literally the next day. Usually my nail polishes last about a week before chipping. Even with a top coat half of my polish was gone on my thumb by noon the next day. And all I do is work at a pharmacy :/ I can only imagine what would happen if I worked a more intensive job.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Color, Kind of Strange Formula I got Madison with my first Bombshell box. First I need to say that the color of the bottle online doesn't accurately represent the actual polish color. In the bottle and on nails it's definitely more of a neon coral (which I love!), and depending on the light it can look more orange. After three coats I still had VNL, but it didn't bother me too terribly much. The polish dried to a sort of velvet finish. Because my nails are a little short to coat my edges I did have edge wear the next day, so definitely use a nice shiny top coat. The formula is a little weird to me though; when I was doing clean up I had a lot of difficulty getting excess polish off. It kind of felt slick if you know what I mean. Removing the polish completely was also a little difficult, and it left my nails pretty orange even though I used a strengthener and a base coat. Overall, the color is great but I may use a coat of white polish underneath to achieve full opacity next time and definitely coat the edges of my nails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sheer, but Pops One coat is truly not enough with this one. Even with two coats it's still very sheer, but bright. The color online is very misleading, but I'm not disappointed with it in the least. It makes a great summer color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing for the right people I got this for Christmas. If I would have realized this one was so transparent I would have never wanted it. The first nails I did I started out very disappointed I wanted something solid not clear. After about 3 coats I was satisfied with the coverage but I could have done 4. It was very glossy and kinda reminded me of gummy bears, that is when I started to like it. I have had time to play around with it and I found that painted over white it makes the perfect flamingo color. Alone,It has an orange-pink hue that gets more orange as you do more layers. For people that like to play around with their nails this would be an interesting color to have but it doesn't last as long as some other Julep polishes. This is defiantly not a color I would buy at full price but if it goes on sale I might get it again just because it is a fun color to play with.
