Kit includes:

  • Dotting tool with a rounded tip for dots, heart, and more
  • Striping brush with superfine bristles for French manis, stripes, and more

The Plié Wand and all its accessories are made from:

  • Our desire to solve the polishing pain points we’ve heard about (and experienced) over the years
  • Amazing teamwork with award-winning design & innovation firm IDEO
  • Fabulous feedback from our loyal Mavens
  • For best results, don’t submerge these accessories in polish. Pour a few drops onto a piece of foil, dip your tool, and start your design.
  • Before you use the striping brush for the first time, prep it by wiping the bristles with nail polish remover to remove the protective coating.
  • Use nail polish remover to clean your accessories after each use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's good stuff. I got this a few months ago, when it was included with the monthly Maven box, and I'm glad I got the add-ons, otherwise I probably wouldn't really use it. I only have two complaints about these products. Complaint 1: When I took them out of their containers, they were dusty/dirty, which I can understand if the products are coming from a factory and hanging out in a warehouse. It wasn't a big deal, I just cleaned them off. Complaint 2: The bristles to my thin line drawer brush (for lack of better terms that I can think or right now) are starting to splay, after just a few uses.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dot your I's but wont cross your T's Dotting tool works great, I just need a steadier hand. My striping tool is fraying, and will not produce a decent clean line at all. I'm really disappointed int he quality of it and worry that like many have said, it will "melt" when I go to clean it to use a different color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's alright I added this onto my box and I think it's ok. I tried using the striping brush to do a French tip but had no luck. I'm giving 3 stars because I think part of the failure was on my part and not entirely the brush. I never seem to be able to get the right amount of polish on either tool which makes it hard to do designs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good dots, poor stripes - make your own! I'm reasonably artistic, so I thought I could have some fun with this tool kit. The dot tool works well once you get a little practice with it (having a consistent amount of polish on the dot is crucial) but the striping tool is just plain poorly constructed. Out of the box, before even the first use, it lost two hairs. Unless you're totally in love with the plié set, do yourself a favor and buy a 99 cent pack of brushes at the craft store and cut your own - a sharp angle (like a sephora #12) makes great lines and you can use the other end of the brush for dots, or cut a small round brush flat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't get messy or you'll ruin the caps I love my Plié Wand and wanted this kit to go with it. The striping brush is "ok" and makes a decent enough line. The actual fibers of the brush can be hard to clean but it's manageable. The dotting tool should come in two sizes as most others do - but it does not. The worst feature, however, is the plastic the materials they are made with. I always use a non-acetone polish remover to clean my brushes, and even with Julep's "gentle" conditioning polish remover, it ate the finishes on my caps. I only had them exposed to the remover long enough to wipe off excess polish that had dripped, but that was enough. Two of my caps (striping tool and precision brush) became so gummy I ended up tossing them. I'll buy replacements. You would think for a product dealing with nail polish, they could have designed them to be at least somewhat remover-safe - especially when non-acetone polishes are being used.
