CMT Awards Best Dressed: New BFFs Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood

After looking over all the red carpet fashions from last night’s CMT Awards, we simply couldn’t pick a winner … so we picked two! What better way to kick off Best Friends Fest than to celebrate the fabulous new friendship (and impeccable fashion sense) of these two stunning country stars?

Seriously—who could choose between Carrie Underwood’s flowing floral Roberto Cavalli gown and Miranda Lambert’s sleek, sparkly Celia Kritharioti mini? We certainly can’t.

Both ladies owned the red carpet last night, showing off head-to-toe beautiful looks that were totally different but equally stunning. Carrie’s long blonde waves, peachy lip, and lush lashes are giving us total “Classic with a Twist” vibes, while Miranda’s smoky eye, metallic accessories, and plunging neckline are “Bombshell” all the way. (Lambert actually trusted the readers of Elle to vote on what she should wear! Thank goodness they made some very wise decisions.)

Later, Underwood and Lambert each changed into slinky beaded black frocks and took the stage together for their rockin’ duet, “Somethin’ Bad.” And even better, both ladies won big last night, with Lambert winning Female Video of the Year, and Underwood taking home the prize of the night for Video of the Year.

It’s great to see two female performers at the top of their game embracing each other and working together—and looking ahhh-mazing while they do it.
