Julep Staff Picks: Our Favorite Spring Nail Colors

by Meghan Carlson | 0 comments

Last week, we shared the big nail polish trends for March as chosen by our Mavens. Now it’s our turn!

We polled the Julep office to find out which nail colors our staffers are wearing as we look forward to the longer days, warmer temps, and lush landscapes of spring. As you’ll see, our favorite shades really run the gamut, with a refreshing mix of new and classic, soft and bright, and seasonal and season-less.

But want to know the one thing all of our picks have in common? They’re all bona fide mood lifters. The lesson? If a shade makes you smile, it’s perfect for spring.

Julep Nail Polishes for Spring

Some of our spring nail color favorites (clockwise from left): Gloria, Princess Grace, Harriet, Charlie, Denver, Misti, Monaco, Cameron, Elisa, Hope, Raegan, Jackie

“My favorite spring colors are fun and bright. I love Monaco because it is such a pure vibrant blue that reminds me of the water! I also love Carrie because it is such a happy, fun pink.” – Nell, Customer Support

“My favorite Julep Nail Color (year round!) is Oxygen Nail Treatment because it provides an instant polished look in just one coat.” – Annie, Senior Graphic Designer

Margaret—it reminds me of the baby blue Cadbury Mini Eggs my mom gives me every Easter.” – Jeanna, Associate Director, Digital Marketing

“Matte white! Hope is a great neutral color that pairs well with any outfit but has more ‘edginess’ than your typical soft pastels. It’s a satin finish, too.” – Gabrielle, Merchandising Specialist

“My favorite spring color is Denver, I love it because of the gloomy days here in Seattle, a nice bright crème mani will definitely lift your spirits.” – India, Customer Support

Elisa! I can’t get enough. For a gal with admittedly pale skin, pastels often do not pop on my skin, but this one is perfect! It gives my pasty skin the perfect amount of color to transition to spring without being too bright.” – Kate, Social Community Manager

“My favorite spring color (and yes, I do have a different favorite for every season) is Jackie. I love that the bright red can go with basically every one of my spring outfits. In my mind Jackie = spring time!” – Ariana, Marketing Coordinator

“I’ve been waiting for glimpses of spring to break out Rae. Even better that it’s the color of the year!” – Kate, ‎Chief Experience Officer & COO

“I’m loving Margaret from the March Maven collection. I love crème finishes, and the light periwinkle color is so unique!” – Shelly, Maven Customer Support Assistant Manager

“One of my favorite spring polish color is Denver. After months of dark polish, Denver is so bright and pretty; it makes me excited to spend time outside!” – Jenn, Category Project Manager

“The buttery goodness of Blake! Spring is the season of transformation. A punch of yellow adds an element of whimsy and adventure to my favorite jeans and T-shirt. I love this playful color!” – Audrey, Customer Support

“My favorite Julep nail color look for spring is Monaco as a base color and Tania as a top coat—both from our beautiful Riviera collection.  I love this combination because it makes me think of a beautiful beach vacation and reminds me that warmer, longer days are on their way!” – Tracy, Accounting Manager

Charlie is like my absolute favorite color to wear as spring starts sneaking up on me. Its radiant yellow glow is like sunshine for my nails, and it pairs well with all my casual spring dresses.” – Alicia, Customer Support

“Currently my favorite spring color is Princess Grace as it looks really great on my skin tone. I am African-American, so my skin tone makes the color look really nice.” – Chatoya, Customer Support

“I am in LOVE with the color Monaco this spring because even on gray days in Seattle it makes me smile and look forward to the sunny days to come. I get compliments every time I wear it because of the hyper-saturation—especially when paired with Freedom and my matching blue wedges.” – Sarah, Email Marketing Manager

“My favorite Julep nail color of all time is Cameron. It’s perfect for any season, but the soft lavender gives a glimmer of spring, while still being irresistibly sparkly.” – Matti, Associate Photographer

“My favorite spring color is Denver. It’s a super cheery seafoam that reminds me over and over that our gray Seattle sky won’t last forever (even though it surely feels like it sometimes!). It complements anything I put on—brights, neutrals, denim, black… Plus this time of year my skin hasn’t seen sunshine in months and most colors with this much pop force me into zombie-toned territory. But with Denver I look alive. ALIIIIIVE!” – Emily, Copywriter

“I have such a crush on coral colors. Gloria + gold accessories will be my go-to this spring.” – Natasha, Public Relations Manager

Misti. It’s a bit muted and really makes my eyes light up. The color reminds me of a tomboyish mermaid from Cerulean City.” – Sean, Code Captain

“This year I’m really excited about blush pinks, nudes, and really pale lilacs. They just feel like a breeze!” – Neha, Senior Category Manager – Merchandising

“My favorite spring color is Harriet! It’s the perfect coral, not toooo orange, not toooo pink, and also look great on toes!” – Heather, Social Marketing Manager

“Pinks are a year-round color in my eyes, but as spring approaches, my freedom with the brightness of the shade expands and I can’t wait to get more vibrant tones on my nails and toes! Raegan is the perfect pop of pink—adding personality to any fun and flirty outfit.” – Katie, Product Development Coordinator
