Orange Is The New Black: 10 Stylish Ways to Wear Orange This Summer

by Meghan Carlson | 1 Comment

Don’t worry, there are no neon jumpsuits on this list.

Don’t get us wrong; we’re thrilled that Piper, Red, Pennsatucky, and the rest of the gang are finally making their return to Netflix this Friday, but prison fashion leaves a lot to be desired. So, in honor of Orange Is the New Black kicking off season 2 this weekend, we’re exploring ten stylish ways that the rest of us can rock this summer’s trendiest color.

We’re not sure if the show’s creators meant to spearhead a trend with their title, but it happened nonetheless: when it comes to summer fashion and beauty, orange is the new black.

Orange Lip

Anyone can rock an orange lip, which is great news, because it’s one of summer’s biggest beauty trends. The trick is to find a shade that works with your skin tone. If you have a warm skin tone, look for a yellow-based orange. For cooler skin tones, try a red or coral-based orange.

Orange Nail Polish

You didn’t think we would complete this list without one of the easiest and best ways to rock orange, did you? There are all sorts of gorgeous orange nail polish shades to choose from, but five of our favorites for this summer have to be (from left): golden apricot shimmer Saaya (Bombshell); peach bellini frost Karen (Boho Glam); rich papaya crème Princess Grace (It Girl); juicy tangerine shimmer Mariska (Classic with a Twist); and guava coral crème Harriet (Boho Glam).

How are you planning on incorporating some vibrant, juicy orange into your summer look?
